ARTISTS:
Filippo Andreatta/OHT will perform a Frankenstein reading session by the fire. The heart of the work focuses on the pivotal meeting between Frankenstein and his creature, highlighting the creature’s unique voice and its journey of self-discovery through the landscape.
Leila Hekmatnia will screen her short film ”Margab”, which tells the story of the last surviving member of a village ravaged by climate change in Iran. In Persian, the word ’margab’ refers to the last irrigation before harvest and the drowning waters that cause drowning and consequently lead to death.
Jaq Lisboa presents part of ”Contemporary Entities”, an ongoing project that combines the spiritual, political, and poetic. At Saari, Lisboa wishes to create a new entity that draws inspiration from the local context, allowing her to delve into themes deeply connected to this territory and herself.
Emilia Sølvsten will read her poem ”Life Outside Itself”, inspired by the Greenlandic myth of Qivittoq, a mountain wanderer who abandons humanity to exist between life and death in eternity. The poem reflects on loss, exile, and societal exclusion, drawing from Emilia’s family history. Reimagining the Qivittoq as a shadowy figure and a keeper of traces left by the departed, she blends myth with personal experiences and perspectives on absence and estrangement.
